Description
This officially licensed coin from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to the beloved Disney movie “Alice in Wonderland™” from 1951. It is the third issue of the “Alice in Wonderland™ Series” and is dedicated to one of the reoccurring characters The Mad Hatter™. The colorful motive depicts Alice with the Mad Hatter and the March Hare teetering on a spoon over a full teacup. The inscription “1 oz 999 Fine Silver © Disney” is also included in the design. The Ian Rank Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions “NIUE”, “TWO DOLLARS” “ELIZABETH” and “2021” are shown on the reverse. The coin is presented in an acrylic case, so both sides can be viewed. Alice meets the Mad Hatter™ for the first time during the famous tea party scene in the March Hare’s garden. They encounter each other again during the court case at the Queen of Hearts’ court. The limited Alice in Wonderland™ – The Mad Hatter™ coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
